York County Community Foundation is a public charity that partners with
individuals, families and business to make permanent charitable connections,
now and for generations to come.
Leave a Legacy-York County
While three of every four people in York County support one or more nonprofit
organizations during their lifetimes, fewer than one in ten provide for those very same
organizations after their death. Thanks to the hard work of many individuals, LEAVE A LEGACY®
York County has successfully recruited extensive assistance from three important groups in
an effort to bridge this gap.
United Way of America
United Way of America is the national organization dedicated to leading the
United Way movement. Local United Ways create long-lasting community change by
addressing the underlying causes of the most significant local issues. Common
focus areas include helping children and youth achieve their potential, promoting
financial stability and independence, and improving people’s health. Our goal is
to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of problems.
Healthy York County Coalition
Since its establishment in 1994, Healthy York County Coalition (HYCC) has worked
to bring together stakeholders from across the community and to unite them in
efforts to better York County.
York County Chamber of Commerce
The Foundation of the York County Chamber of Commerce was created in 1987 as the community
and economic development arm of the York County Chamber of Commerce.As a 501(c)3 charitable
organization as designated by the IRS, the Foundation is a reliable vehicle, audited annually,
through which you can make tax deductible donations for community and economic growth.

information on over 1,000 benefit and assistance programs.
Learn to be Healthy
LearntobeHealthy.org is an online health science learning site designed to
help educators, parents and community leaders communicate important health
concepts to students. The site contains comprehensive lesson plans, interactive
games and activities, webquests and more. The goal of the site is to inspire
students – and their families – to make healthy choices that will last a lifetime.
